4 / 5
Translated from swedish: The film is hyperrealistically physical while simultaneously poetic. Possibly inspired by all manner of dystopias, social realist classics, and naturalism from various eras in both literature and film. The sources of inspiration could be numerous. The staging is impressive and makes an impact, whether you want it to or not. I can completely understand that the journey it depicts might not be worth the price for everyone.

Translated from swedish: Anyone who's somewhat hardened and looking for entertainment or food for thought, and can handle witnessing humanity's darkest sides, need look no further than this.

Translated from swedish: The whole thing is really well performed by the film's actors and we get to meet an interesting gallery of characters. Sure, it stumbles here and there, but you can overlook that since the rest is so damn good as it is!

Translated from swedish: Class society is a prison where it literally comes down to eat or be eaten. "The Platform" is a genre film with a strong core concept – but the lack of answers is far too apparent.

1. Moviezine
Translated from swedish: "The Platform" is a ravenous film that's sharp in its execution and keen in both acting and dialogue. Despite the rather grim and serious subject matter, the runtime flies by at a breakneck pace and the film truly thrives on being somewhat repulsive.
