Translated from swedish: A mysterious story that is full of symbolism and might disappoint audiences accustomed to simpler films since the movie's plot is complex.

Translated from swedish: "Suspiria" is very much a women's film with few male roles. It's a female world populated by stunningly beautiful young women and older ruthless female monsters. The story doesn't tell us how the evil came to be or what purpose it serves. But that rarely or never happens in horror films.

Translated from swedish: "Suspiria" is a terrifying and intense experience with outstanding acting and compelling storytelling. As I mentioned in the beginning, there's no doubt that Luca Guadagnino masters this film genre as well. He pays tribute to Argento's original in a beautiful way while adding so much of his own touch that makes the film feel completely unique despite it actually being a remake.

Translated from swedish: It's a pretty good film. No, more than that. It's a really good film. It's nowhere near as good as the original, but unlike most other remakes, this is a completely standalone work that would be better off not being compared to the classic it's based on.

1. Moviezine
Translated from swedish: "Suspiria" is an unsettling and extremely violent film that's bloody and often very graphic. But unlike inferior gore-fest movies that seem to exist solely to provoke and create sensationalism, the violence here serves a bizarre purpose. This really isn't a pretty film, but it's beautiful, hits you in the gut, and speaks to something primal within us.
