The pace is high and the action scenes are fun and entertaining. The humor is at its best, but there are also some emotional sequences that are presented in a good and thoughtful way.

"Sonic 2" is an entertaining blockbuster that fans of the character and the previous film will appreciate - and perhaps especially the younger audience. There are a lot of nice winks to the games that make me raise the corners of my mouth, epic scenes and occasionally spot-on humor. - Anders Eklöf

"Sonic 2" is of course not primarily aimed at an adult audience, but it more than holds its own and accompanying children will almost certainly have fun.
