4 / 5
Translated from swedish: Fueled with old-school Hollywood gasoline, "F1: The Movie" becomes a testosterone-fueled roar where the underdog narrative is as visible as the Tommy Hilfiger logo on Sonny's racing-clad back. The blockbuster jacket may be somewhat faded, but as long as it's worn with such pride and straight-backed confidence as it is here, there's no reason to turn it in for recycling.

Translated from swedish: "F1: The Movie" is a wildly entertaining motorsports film with plenty of drive and charm.

Translated from swedish: The editing is fantastic, as are the cinematography and Hans Zimmer's music. There are several moments where I'm left speechless because the visuals are so superb.

Translated from swedish: A magnificent spectacle with maximum excitement. This is the best summer film of the year, and I don't think any other movie will come close.

Positive, no rating
Translated from swedish: Even though you sometimes laugh at the characters rather than with them – the dialogue feels banal and the story clichéd – "F1: The Movie" is still entertaining. It has good racing nonetheless and does almost everything I want it to do.

Translated from swedish: Despite finding Brad Pitt downright poor in the lead role, director Joseph Kosinski delivers truly excellent filmmaking in "F1: The Movie", where the movie absolutely flies by despite its lengthy runtime. A perfect film to see in theaters.

3 / 5
Translated from swedish: The point of view shots make it feel like you're the one driving, or at least strapped in Brad Pitt's arms during the races. Which option sounds more appealing?

3 / 5
Translated from swedish: The plot in "F1: The Movie" doesn't even make it past the starting line, but the racing film maintains its pace so well and is so visually impressive that it still manages to cross the finish line.

Translated from swedish: The competition scenes are among the best I've seen in the genre.

Translated from swedish: Cars whirl by, they crash, you get to see the split-second decisions being made, and then tires need to be changed in a matter of seconds. It's great entertainment, and it sells Formula 1 with distinction. And that was probably the primary purpose of "F1: The Movie".

2 / 5
Translated from swedish: A racing film that could have been much greasier, edgier, more motor-nerdy. But it's somewhat fun. If you love Brad Pitt.

Translated from swedish: "F1: The Movie" must shine when engines roar and the audience is taken on an incredible ride, everything in between can only be compared to grotesquely poor caulking.

Translated from swedish: "F1: The Movie" is yet another proof that sports and film are two phenomena that bring out the worst in each other.

1. Moviezine
Translated from swedish: In a film world that has long been dominated by CGI explosions, multiverses and computer-generated monsters, "F1: The Movie" is a high-octane reminder of the power of practical effects and real environments. There are no flying alien armies here, no time travel or collapsing digital cities – just human, machine and millimeter precision. Sometimes that's all you need.
