Translated from swedish: The impressions swooshed by, exceptional ones, scenes that stick with me, the actors whom I first see as themselves through tabloids but who then glimmer and sparkle and become something beyond gossip columns and movie posters. Superb music, intense effects, thrilling solutions. Film at its very best.

Translated from swedish: The filmmakers manage to keep our interest alive for nearly three hours, but whether "Cloud Atlas" will go down in film history is questionable. The film makes an impression and commands respect, but it will probably remain an interesting cinema experience among many others.

Translated from swedish: What really delivers are the visions of the future. The dystopian NeoSeoul in a Matrix-inspired world that the Wachowskis know as well as the even more detached future world where Tom Hanks lives a tribal life among bloodthirsty Indians.

Translated from swedish: I want this kind of epic sagas about life, love, death, and the universe to shake me to the core, to open my eyes to the world, and for me to come out the other side glancing at the imbeciles in the popcorn line and thinking that I know something they don't, that I am enlightened. Instead, I came out the other side three hours later, turned on my phone, and thought: Wow, is it that late already?

Translated from swedish: If the sole purpose of a film is to confuse the audience as much as possible by telling short fragments from different places and eras, without any apparent connection, then "Cloud Atlas" succeeds completely.

Translated from swedish: The idea of the interconnectedness of all things is interesting - and is certainly even more gripping in David Mitchell's book, which is the source material. Here, the message is drowned out by the large number of stories and disguises.

Translated from swedish: "Cloud Atlas", which is based on Thomas Mitchell's novel of the same name, is three hours long and requires a fair amount of patience from the audience, but the film gets steadily better and better as the editing pace picks up and the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Translated from swedish: The best I can say about Cloud Atlas is that it is not boring, and there is something genuinely comical about seeing many of the different actors in horrible makeup sticking out completely and making you go through your mental "okay-who-is-that-now-is-it-Hugh-Grant?" phase for every new character's entrance.

Translated from swedish: I loved "Cloud Atlas", for me it is one of the biggest cinema experiences of the year. Incredibly ambitious and well-crafted, it is not pre-chewed and quite easy to "understand", but if you let go of the need to understand everything with your brain and instead dare to open your heart, "Cloud Atlas" will reward you in a way that few films do today.
