2 / 5
Translated from swedish: "Brick" has the potential to impress thanks to an interesting premise, but it's not enough to carry an entire film. The script is at best a shapeless sketch and the direction is utterly confusing. Once the curiosity about the wall is satisfied, all interest in the movie is lost.

Translated from swedish: The best scenes are those where the camera is allowed to move up and down between the apartments of the building. A feast for the eyes, which "Brick" could and should have utilized more.

Translated from swedish: This is a fascinating mystery. I sat there for a long time thinking that this was probably one of those films that just ends without giving us any explanation, since the filmmakers simply hadn't come up with any explanation. There are quite a few films like that - a mystery so big and complex that it's impossible to come up with a decent explanation, and it's equally frustrating every time. But Philip Koch surprises on that front - we actually get an explanation. The film's final images are magnificent.
